TARG Connect — Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how TARG Connect, a private integration service operated by The Alpha Regal Group (“TARG”, “we”, “us”) at connect.thealpharegalgroup.com, handles information. It covers TARG Connect only.

2. Purpose

We process information in TARG Connect only to operate the service: to connect third-party accounts that their owners have authorized, and to carry out account management, analytics and content operations for those accounts.

3. Information we process

Depending on the permissions granted when an account is connected, TARG Connect may process:

  • Account and profile information of the authorized account, such as the TikTok open ID, display name, avatar, username, bio description, profile link and verification status.
  • Content and video metadata, such as video IDs, titles, descriptions, cover images, links, duration and creation time.
  • Account statistics, such as follower, following, like and video counts, and per-video view, like, comment and share counts.
  • OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens, and the list of permissions (scopes) that were granted.
  • Content supplied by the authorized user for upload or posting, such as video files, captions and post settings.
  • Technical and security information needed to operate the service, such as server logs, session cookies for signed-in administrators, and IP addresses used for rate limiting and abuse prevention.

Profile, statistics and video data retrieved from TikTok are used to answer requests from authorized users; apart from the account’s open ID, display name and granted scopes, TARG Connect does not store them in its database. Video files are streamed to TikTok during an upload request and are not kept by TARG Connect; the temporary file is deleted when the request finishes.

4. How we use information

  • To complete the authorization with the third-party platform and keep it active, including refreshing access tokens.
  • To show authorized users the connected account’s profile, statistics and videos.
  • To upload content to the connected account as drafts and, only after explicit approval by an administrator, to publish content.
  • To secure the service, prevent abuse and troubleshoot problems.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use data obtained through TARG Connect for advertising.

5. Storage and security

  • OAuth tokens are stored server-side only, in a database on our hosting provider’s servers.
  • Tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. The encryption key is kept in the server environment, separately from the database.
  • Tokens are never displayed on web pages, returned by TARG Connect’s API or otherwise exposed publicly.
  • Access is limited to authorized users and integrations: administrative pages require a login, and internal API access requires a secret key.
  • Connections to TARG Connect are encrypted with HTTPS.

6. Third-party services

  • TikTok — when you connect a TikTok account, TikTok processes your information under its own Privacy Policy.
  • Hostinger — TARG Connect is hosted by Hostinger, which provides the servers and database on which the service runs.

7. Retention and revocation

  • Tokens are kept while the authorization is active.
  • Tokens are deleted when the account is disconnected in TARG Connect, or on request (see Contact below). When an account is disconnected, TARG Connect also asks TikTok to revoke its access.
  • You can revoke TARG Connect’s access at any time in your TikTok app settings. After that, the stored tokens no longer work; they are deleted when the account is disconnected in TARG Connect or on request.
  • Records of publish requests (captions, post settings and status, but not video files) are kept in TARG Connect’s database as an audit trail and can be deleted on request.

8. Your rights and choices

You can ask us to access or delete the information TARG Connect holds about your account, or to disconnect your account, by contacting us at thealpharegalgroup@gmail.com or through https://thealpharegalgroup.com/contact-us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection law.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version, with its “last updated” date, is always available on this page.
